July 14, 2008 35 South 9th Street "C" Platoon Working structure fire with entrapment and fatality. Fire Fighter Mike Daub with the assistance of other "C" platoon members rescued a woman who was trapped in the third floor. Fire Fighter Daub was seriously injured in a fall from the ground ladder as fire was blowing out of the second floor window. The victim made a full recovery and Fire Fighter Daub was off recovering and in physical therapy for 6 months before returning to duty
.
Fire Fighter Daub received special recognition from Lebanon City Council and the
Mayor for his heroic duty as brother Fire Fighters show their support.

December 31, 2008 605 Canal Street "A" Platoon Working Structure fire with multiple dwellings involved. Engine 19, Engine 15 and Tower 18 dispatched on first alarm. A recall of all off duty personal was immediately called and placed all out of service equipment in-service and responding to the scene. Cold temperatures and strong winds hampered the efforts of fire fighters. No injuries accrued and the fire was marked under control in about 2 hours.
